The Health and Society Research Structure, created in 2011, is unique in France. It brings together researchers from the Grenoble-Alpes University (12 laboratories) as well as actors from economic, political, social and health sectors. Its objectives are to:
A person is said to be handicapped when they present a deficiency or a physical or mental incapacity which affects daily activities. For example, a reduction or loss of vision disrupts personal, family and social life. The handicap here is no longer being able to read, drive or work.
